Virat Kohli Cannot Break Sachin's One Record

Former Indian player Virender Sehwag said Virat Kohli would break most but one of Sachin Tendulkar's records. Now, Virat Kohli beats a lot, many think it's only a matter of time before the Indian skipper breaks Tendulkar's records. At just 30 years old, Kohli is already one of the most decorated batsmen in the history of the game.

Kohli already has 43 ODI 100s and needs only seven centuries to break Tendulkar's world record. Tendulkar scored 49 centuries in 463 ODI (452 innings). Tendulkar scored 18426 points in his ODI career with an average of 44.83, while Kohli has an astonishing average of 60.31 in 239 ODI (230 innings).

In the tests, Kohli is about halfway through Tendulkar's century record. The Indian skipper has 25 centuries to his credit in 77 tries (131 rounds), while the Sachin has scored 51 centuries in 200 tries (329 rounds). Unsurprisingly, Kohli was widely invited to break at least some of Tendulkar's monumental records.

Virender Sehwag also has the same feeling. The legendary opener believes Kohli is the best batsmen of this generation now. He also said Kohli would break most of Tendulkar's records at less than one. Virender Sehwag said Kohli would not be able to break Tendulkar's world record over 200 events.

"Virat (Kohli) is currently the best batsmen the way it scores for centuries, the way it scores short, it is the best. I'm sure he'll beat most of Sachin Tendulkar's records". "The record that no one can break is his record (Sachin) of 200 test matches. I don't think anyone can break their 200-match test record. I don't think anyone can play more than 200 test matches".

India is currently in the West Indies Vs India and is preparing for the next two-match Test series. Sehwag supported the Kohli-led camp to win the series.

"The West Indies team does not have quality players who can compete with this Indian team. "I'm sure India will win the two-match test series 2-0," said Virender Sehwag.
