While
PCB announced on Thursday central contracts for players, former
commentator-turned-cricket captain Ramiz Raja questioned the fact why Mohammad
Hasnain was excluded from the list of contracts.
"Pakistan
has decided to take a new direction based on the performances of young players.
But if we are talking about young players, I am surprised that Mohammad Hasnain
did not win the contract because he was part of the World Cup Pakistani.
team".
The
former captain said the young Muhammad Hasnain is capable of driving at more
than 150 km/h had the potential and was part of Pakistan's future programs.
"I still believe That Hasnain should become the 20th player to be awarded
the central contract".
Speaking
of the players who have been demoted in recent contracts, Raja said that these
players must work very hard now because the PCB has sounded the alarm. Fast
thrower Mohammad Amir and opening batsman Fakhar Zaman, who were in categories
A and B in previous contracts, were both demoted to Category C.
The
PCB has awarded central contracts to 19 players for the 2019-2020 season,
during which the men's cricket team will play six World Test Championship
trials, three ODIs, and nine T20I.
The
PCB reduced the contracts from 33 to 19 players. Skipper Sarfaraz Ahmed, Yasir
Shah and superstar striker Babar Azam have won the Category A contract. While
veteran cricketers Mohammad Hafeez and Shoaib Malik were not offered a central
contract, the board said the players would remain available for selection.
