Shahid Afridi Slams Modi
Former
Pakistani captain Shahid Afridi does not hesitate to lend his voice to serious
problems. The cricketing superstar once again expressed support for Kashmiris,
urging Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi to end "inhumanity" in
Kashmir "for good."
"We
expect more from the UN to end the violence and cruelty in the Kashmir conflict
zone. Most Indians do not support Narendra Modi's barbaric acts. It is time for
him to come and establish a long-term peace. well," Afridi said in a
series of tweets.
The
Pakistani superstar also praised Prime Minister Imran Khan's efforts in the
Kashmir cause. "Injustice and oppression can never be tolerated - we hope
to resolve as soon as possible! Prime Minister Imran Khan appreciates your
tireless efforts for peace in Kashmir."
Neighboring
rivals Pakistan and India are once again in the grip of the Indian government's
government after it announced the abandonment of Article 370 of Indian-occupied
Kashmir. The region has been in a virtual state of lockdown since the decision,
leading to a human crisis.
Prime
Minister Imran Khan warned the international community on Friday of the high
risk of India attempting to create a "false-banner operation" to
divert attention from its massive human rights violations in IoK.
