Pakistan's the under-19 team travelled to Colombo to compete in the Associated Cricket Council (ACC) Asian Under-19 Cup, which will take place September 5-14 in Sri Lanka.

Some eight teams participate in the tournament, with teams divided into two groups. The traditional rivals Pakistan and India are part of the same group (Group A) Alongside Afghanistan and Kuwait. Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, the United Arab Emirates and Nepal are group B.

Pakistan will play its first match of the tournament against Afghanistan on September 5. At the same time, the arrival of Pakistan and India will take place on 7 September. Pakistan will play its final match on 9 September against Kuwait.

Pakistan will enter the tournament after a remarkable run - 10 wins in the last 12 matches - after beating Sri Lanka (3-2) and South Africa (7-0) in their back backyard.
